Felt tip tattoos
I drew you a cat sleeve! Meow meow meow!
The ink doesn’t fade for days unless I get out of bed and wash it away
but we’ve flipped the mattress and pinned up a sheet,
don’t want to leave our bedroom fort,
pretend we’re stuck like concrete.
Draw on each other until the ink runs dry,
a little something to remember me by.
If I draw a lion on your back,
different shades from face to paw,
it could scare away every attack!
Except for ink poisoning… Roar roar roar!
Before you know it there’s a zoo
done in felt tip on me and you
I’ll wear shorts, you’ll wear a vest!
Show off that pen ink raptor chest!
I don’t own any vests.
So show off your knees?
I can’t, they’re covered in doodles of bees.
Draw on each other until the ink runs dry,
a little something to remember me by.
Red, orange and blue.
Wash them away, and draw something new.

There are stars on my ceiling
High above my bed
My arms were too short, the reach was way over my head
You were captain long arms, and you did fine
Helped me stick the stickers to the ceiling,
I stopped calling this place mine
There are stars on your ceiling
Way over your head
and I like that the heart constellation sticks around,
even if the rest play dead.
But you shine brighter than any of them
And you are doing fine
You're pretty in every reflection, I like that I can call you mine
We got this space and we call it now our own
Sticking, cutting and reaching, making this place our home
